This simple, mysterious work is an adaptation of J.S. Bach’s fabled Passion Chorale ‘O Sacred Head’. The chorale forms a backdrop upon which soprano soloists or semi chorus elaborate and embellish with a haunting counterpoint. The work is is of medium difficulty and suitable for Lenten services.
