Short statements from selected luminary figures are set as lyrics in this four movement song cycle, which explores various contrasting styles of music throughout. These musical ‘portraits’ explore the character and personalities of some important figures. It celebrates advances in the fields of science, technology, politics, and business by highlighting the achievements of such individuals as Stephen Hawking, Steve Jobs, Nelson Mandela, concluding the work with words by Australian James Kendall.
