Hereās the ABC News report on my new oratorio for the Adelaide Festival, Watershed: The Death of Dr Duncan.
Iām so extremely excited and honoured to be writing this in collaboration with Director Neil Armfield (Candy, Holding The Man), writers Christos Tsiolkos (The Slap) and Alana Valentine (Parramatta Girls) with the amazing Adelaide Chamber Singers directed by Christie Anderson.
American friends may know Craig Hella Johnsonās work āConsidering Matthew Shephard.ā Watershed will commemorate the death of Dr Duncan, which tragically remains unsolved, and it will tell our unique Australian story of Queer rights. The story is about injustice, homophobia, violence, police corruption, politics and so much more, but ultimately itās about love ā¤ļø š³ļøāšā¤ļø
